Mechatronics & Robotics Technician

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all established safety procedures
• Complete preventative maintenance routines and maintain proper documentation
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belts, motors, photo-eyes, and relays
• Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment
• Maintain positive working relationships across the Amazon Operations facility
• Perform physical tasks including moving up to 49lbs, climbing ladders, and standing/walking for shifts lasting up to 12 hours

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls
• 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures
• 2+ years of experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics
• 2+ years of experience troubleshooting and diagnostics of material handling equipment (MHE)
• 2+ years of experience demonstrating safety standards
• 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with robotic operation and maintenance
• 2+ years of experience with electrical and electronic principles
• Associate's degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering
• 2+ years of Mechanical or Electrical apprenticeship experience
