Mechatronics & Robotics Apprentice

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety processes and regulations to ensure a safe environment during training and on the shop floor
• Perform scheduled, predictive, and preventive maintenance on electronic, mechanical, and control systems
• Install, repair, adjust, and test equipment and components to ensure proper system function
• Analyze technical specifications of mechatronic systems, subsystems, modules, and components
• Learn PLCs and work alongside Automation Engineers in a laboratory environment
• Maintain material handling equipment (MHE) using electronic and physical technical documentation

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to enroll in and attend a 9-week college training program at a designated campus
• Ability to complete one year of On-the-Job Learning (OJL) at your home site
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as kneeling, squatting, and climbing ladders
• Ability to work flexible schedules, shifts, and areas

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in an electrical, mechanical, or controls field
