Mechatronics & Robotics Apprentice

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety processes and regulations to ensure a safe environment during job shadowing and on-the-job learning.
• Perform scheduled, predictive, and preventive maintenance to detect and prevent equipment problems.
• Install, repair, adjust, and test electronic, mechanical, and control system components.
• Analyze technical specifications of mechatronic systems, subsystems, and modules.
• Learn PLC operations and work alongside Automation Engineers in a laboratory environment.
• Utilize technical documentation to maintain material handling equipment (MHE) at the site.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to enroll in and attend a 9-week intensive training program at a designated partner college.
• Ability to complete one year of on-the-job learning (OJL) following the classroom training.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as kneeling, squatting, climbing ladders, and reaching overhead.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, shifts, and areas within a warehouse environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in an electrical, mechanical, or controls-related field.
