Mechatronics Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls to diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns
• Prioritize repairs with input from Plant Management
• Maintain machinery, production processes, and general facility upkeep
• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance, including mechanical and electrical repairs
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical components
• Troubleshoot electrical issues including control systems, wiring, and circuit boards
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (P.M.) on plant equipment
• Inspect molding presses, including oil levels, leaks, and heater operation
• Install or modify equipment to improve reliability and safety
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics

Requirements

• Two-year degree in Mechatronics or five years relevant experience
• PLC troubleshooting experience
• Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical prints
• Proficiency in shop math and Microsoft Office (Excel)
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Strong commitment to safety rules and regulations
