Mechatronics Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage mechatronics projects from conception to completion
• Oversee process line equipment upgrades including Electrical and Automation Equipment
• Monitor and calibrate automated systems to maximize production efficiency (OEE)
• Integrate sensors, actuators, microcontrollers, and control systems
• Develop and execute test plans for automation systems
• Ensure systems meet quality standards and regulatory requirements
• Drive innovation in mechatronics design and stay updated with industry trends
• Participate in site continuous improvement projects and rapid prototyping

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in Industrial Automation and system Design Engineering
• Degree or diploma in Mechatronics Engineering or a related field
• Proficiency in CAD for mechanical components and electrical schematics
• Strong knowledge of communication protocols such as OPC-UA, Mod-Bus, and Profinet
• Ability to troubleshoot PLC/OT networks and Plant SCADA systems
• Experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, robotics, and industrial sensors
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Allen Bradley, Siemens, or Omron systems
• Ability to develop algorithms to automate processes
