Mechatronics Engineer

Responsibilities

• Drive stand-alone testing systems from concept through deployment
• Work with the Chemical Propulsion team to identify testing needs
• Create detailed mechanical and electrical designs for testing systems
• Collaborate with vendors to fabricate custom parts
• Prototype, troubleshoot, and validate testing systems
• Maintain a clean work area and assist in general facilities upkeep

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or related field
• 3+ years of experience with mechatronic system design (DAQ systems, test fixtures, test board development)
• Proficiency with mCAD/eCAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
• Proficiency with DAQ systems (e.g., NI / Labview)
• Experience with mechanical/electrical prototyping
• Experience with embedded systems and microcontroller programming
• Must qualify as a U.S. Person under U.S. export control laws

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with test automation using Labview or Python
• Hands-on proficiency with instrumentation (oscilloscopes, DAQs, multimeters), sensors, and actuators
• Previous experience in the aerospace or consumer electronics industry
