Mechanic/Shop Leader

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical work on the regional fleet including repairs and maintenance
• Manage administrative services such as cost estimates, scheduling, and procurement
• Monitor inventory and order shop supplies and tools
• Conduct vehicle inspections and diagnostic tests to identify worn or damaged parts
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and control corrosion
• Assist in the fabrication of new equipment and new builds
• Correct vehicle deficiencies in power trains, electrical, hydraulics, and brake systems
• Ensure the shop remains neat, clean, and safe
• Reconcile operating accounts and maintain operating reports

Requirements

• 5+ years of previous mechanic experience
• Valid driver’s license with at least 5 years of clean driving history
• Proven leadership experience
• Extensive knowledge of automobile repair and ability to read technical manuals
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• CDL license
