Mechanic/Shop Leader

Responsibilities

• Perform customer service functions and scheduled maintenance
• Manage administrative services including cost estimates and preventive maintenance notifications
• Reconcile operating accounts, sales, cash, and receipts
• Monitor inventory and order shop supplies and tools
• Schedule and arrange necessary maintenance for the shop
• Conduct vehicle inspections and diagnostic tests to identify worn or damaged parts
• Perform repairs on power trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, brake, steering, and hydraulics systems
• Assist in the fabrication of new equipment and new builds
• Ensure shop cleanliness, safety, and compliance with federal and state vehicle requirements
• Conduct field visits for emergencies or sudden breakdowns

Requirements

• 5+ years of previous mechanic experience
• Valid driver's license with at least 5 years of clean driving record
• Proven leadership experience
• Extensive knowledge of automobile repair and ability to interpret technical manuals
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stretch for inspections and repairs

Preferred Qualifications

• CDL license
