Mechanic/Operator

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain power, process controls, PLCs, and electric generation equipment
• Perform routine and major mechanical maintenance on gas engines, compressors, pumps, and boilers
• Maintain instrumentation, including pneumatic and electronic control valves, transmitters, and regulators
• Conduct diagnostic tests, calibrations, and replacements of various equipment using tools like Hart Communicators and Fluke meters
• Plan and lead pipeline isolation, gas handling, blowdowns, and purging activities
• Monitor contractor activity on-site and support regulatory compliance and inspections
• Complete work orders and maintain records in SAP/BlueWorx and other task-specific software
• Respond to emergency call-outs 24/7 as required for facility safety and reliability

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in electrical, instrumentation, and controls (EIC) within a related industry
• Ability to reside within 30 miles or 45 minutes of the reporting location in Kalkaska, Michigan
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain TC Energy DOT driver status
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds and working in confined spaces or adverse weather

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience maintaining control systems and using gas measurement testing equipment
• Master Electrician License or equivalent mining electrical certification
• Industry certification such as ISA
• Ability to interpret technical reference documents and P&ID drawings
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
