About the role

Responsibilities

  • Ensure work is performed according to technical requirements, including drawings, specifications, and inspection and test plans (ITPs).
  • Complete comprehensive checklists at each hold/witness point as required.
  • Generate inspection and test plans, procedures, quality reports, and metrics.
  • Work with construction supervisors, schedulers, and subcontractors to implement the project quality system.
  • Examine field conditions to identify inaccuracies or cost-saving measures and take corrective actions.
  • Organize and maintain project quality records and files.
  • Report all Non-Conformance and rework issues to the Project Quality Manager.
  • Assist in the interpretation of construction codes and standards.
  • Identify and mitigate safety hazards to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate or technical degree in Engineering or Science (with 2+ years of related construction experience) OR an Associate degree with 3+ years of experience OR High School diploma with 5+ years of experience.
  • Must be a certified CWB Level 2 Inspector.
  • Working knowledge of industry codes and standards including ACI, AWS, ASME, and NEC.
  • Ability to read and understand technical plans, specifications, and 2D/3D drawings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint.
  • Strong mathematical abilities and attention to detail.
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Ability to work onsite in various climates and environments, including overtime and weekends as required.
