Mechanical Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and execute static and dynamic test programs to validate material performance and structural behavior for current and next-generation wind turbines
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory test equipment and machinery
• Develop new test methods and equipment to improve mechanical testing and characterization
• Perform fracture mechanics analysis to support and validate test results
• Collaborate with design engineers to specify tests and provide thorough analysis and reporting
• Engage with local and international testing companies, institutions, and equipment suppliers

Requirements

• Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (Bachelor's degree with relevant experience will also be considered)
• Specialized experience in mechanical testing, specifically with sandwich materials and fiber-reinforced polymers
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel
• Fluency in English, both written and oral
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, collaborative approach to multidisciplinary work

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Matlab or similar data processing tools
