Mechanical Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair HVAC support equipment including air handlers, chilled water, condenser pumps, and cooling towers
• Perform ductwork modifications, brazing, soldering, and refrigerant charging
• Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, heating, and drainage systems
• Conduct hands-on troubleshooting, inspection, and testing of pumps and mechanical equipment
• Read and interpret schematics for assembly and repair
• Operate heavy equipment including forklifts, scissor lifts, and overhead cranes
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and building codes

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of professional experience with HVAC, plumbing, pneumatic, or mechanical systems
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted
• Ability to work at elevated heights up to 150 feet
• Valid CA driver’s license
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical certification, journeyman, or master status in HVAC, mechanical, or plumbing systems
• Knowledge of high-pressure, flammable, and refrigeration gases
• Experience maintaining HEPA filters and AHU filtration systems
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems to the component level
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
