Mechanical Technician – Secondary Line Maintenance

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of secondary line machines
• Troubleshoot and repair conveyors, labeling machines, wadding machines, coding machines, and stretch wrapping machines
• Execute mechanical overhauling, alignment, bearing replacement, and lubrication activities
• Monitor machine performance to identify potential failures and minimize downtime
• Assist in the installation, commissioning, and modification of equipment
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and spare parts consumption data
• Follow strict safety procedures, including LOTO practices and housekeeping standards
• Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in secondary line maintenance within beverage, FMCG, or packaging industries
• Strong troubleshooting skills related to packaging and conveyor systems
• Technical knowledge of pneumatic systems, including valves, cylinders, and air preparation units
• Experience with mechanical power transmission, including chain drives, gearboxes, and bearings
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and equipment manuals
• Familiarity with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and breakdown analysis
• Ability to work in shifts and a proactive, safety-conscious attitude

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with specific machinery such as shrink wrappers, case packers, carton erectors, or inkjet coding machines
• Basic welding and fabrication knowledge
