Mechanical Technician I

Responsibilities

• Fabricate mechanical subsystems on test and launch sites, primarily relating to fluid systems
• Lead daily activities for up to 3-5 technicians to meet vehicle integration schedules
• Contribute to workflow and best practices for launch pad operations
• Ensure tasks are completed on time and to quality standards
• Perform fit out, assembly, and installation of launch pad systems
• Conduct fluid system initial build and commissioning
• Perform precision cleaning of critical components and troubleshoot mechanical issues

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Experience in aerospace, industrial, or relevant industry environments
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and/or fluid components
• Experience in the assembly of large structures and mechanisms
• Proficiency with hand, power, and measurement tools used in mechanical construction
• Ability to stand and walk for entire shifts (8+ hours)
• Ability to climb ladders and work at elevated heights or in tight spaces
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials up to 25 lbs
