Mechanical Technician

Responsibilities

• Assemble, cut, thread, and lay pipes
• Perform diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repairs on motors, fans, gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, and rotating equipment
• Execute preventive maintenance and lubrication schedules
• Document equipment inspections and maintain detailed reports
• Analyze equipment performance to optimize throughput and quality
• Perform rigging and operate mobile equipment
• Adhere to all plant environmental, health, and safety guidelines

Requirements

• Experience in preventive, predictive, and proactive maintenance procedures
• Knowledge of hydraulics, lubrication, and mechanical equipment
• Ability to repair pumps, conveyors, valves, cylinders, bearings, and motors
• Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
• Skilled in Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and climb ladders
• Ability to work in outdoor, hot, humid, or cold industrial environments
• Availability to work any shift, including evenings, weekends, and overnights

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred
• Minimum of three years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of industrial electricity, pneumatics, and welding
• Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics
• Experience with vibration analysis and precision alignment
