Mechanical Technician

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, steam, hydraulic, and pneumatic power transmission and drive systems
• Diagnose problems using hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics, as well as measurement devices and gauges
• Remove, replace, and bleed fluids from hydraulic systems and manage lubricants for gearboxes, bearings, and slides
• Perform repairs on piping systems, including valves, controls, strainers, and various coupling methods
• Execute sheet metal work for the repair of ductwork, machinery guards, and tanks
• Maintain a safe working environment by following LOTO procedures and wearing appropriate PPE
• Communicate professionally with maintenance, engineering, and production personnel

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Automotive Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or a similar field (or successful completion of the mechanical test)
• 3-5 years of industrial mechanical experience
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds occasionally
• Ability to work at heights and in various outdoor or industrial environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a manufacturing facility
