Mechanical Technician

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment using hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot pumps, compressors, piping, valves, boilers, and rotating equipment
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, including equipment overhauls and alignments
• Execute Lock, Tag, and Try (LTT) procedures to ensure equipment safety
• Follow all safety, health, and environmental procedures, including proper PPE use
• Perform vessel entries, chemical equipment breaks, and inspections following site safety rules
• Collaborate with operators, engineers, and vendors to resolve mechanical issues
• Prepare and maintain maintenance logs, calibration data, and compliance records

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of five (5) years of industrial maintenance experience with millwright and pipefitting skills, OR
• Minimum of two (2) years of industrial maintenance experience plus an Associate Degree or equivalent technical/military training
• Ability to work rotating shifts
• Physical ability to climb, use PPE, and perform extended hours

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in chemical or high-hazard manufacturing environments
• Experience with rotating equipment reliability and preventive maintenance programs
