Mechanical Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze basic modifications of mechanical systems installations
• Select materials for mechanical designs based on structural needs and specifications
• Optimize designs for reduced parts counts and manufacturing costs
• Ensure designs meet customer criteria, quality standards, and FAA requirements
• Provide design guidance and feedback to other engineering personnel
• Maintain state-of-the-art knowledge in mechanical systems design and software tools

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
• Strong 3D CAD skills (Inventor preferred) and 2D CAD skills (AutoCAD)
• Knowledge of industry design, documentation, and drafting (ANSI Y14.5) standards
• Understanding of manufacturing methodologies and design-for-manufacturing
• Ability to work as a US Person for ITAR compliance

• Aviation background
• Aircraft interior experience
