About the role
Responsibilities
- Support the development and documentation of mechanical, fluid system, and thermal environment requirements for 787 Program systems including ECS, Hydraulics, and Flight Controls.
- Develop, maintain, or modify system, component, and installation designs to provide documentation to downstream groups.
- Perform and document analyses to validate and verify that systems and components meet all requirements and specifications.
- Contribute to supplier development, testing, and production activities to optimize integration and achieve program goals.
- Lead technical meetings and planning efforts, presenting complex technical information to diverse audiences (Senior level).
- Manage supplier activities and prioritize the documentation of analyses for fluid systems, mechanisms, and landing gear (Senior level).
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Material Sciences.
- 3+ years of experience with Mechanical Systems.
- 3+ years of professional engineering experience.
- 3+ years of experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools.
- 3+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in an aerospace-related role.
- 5+ years of experience working with CATIA V5 & ENOVIA toolsets.
- 5+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, procedures, and specifications.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical, hydraulic fluid, flight controls, flight deck, or environmental control systems engineering.
- 5+ years of demonstrated project management skills.
- Experience mentoring and developing junior engineers.
