Mechanical Systems Design & Analysis Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support the development and documentation of mechanical, fluid, and thermal systems
• Perform detail design development and modification of mechanical and fluid system installations
• Assist in spatial integration at the system or component level for mechanisms, landing gear, and ordinance systems
• Prepare technical documents for mechanical components and systems
• Support proposal preparation and new business development efforts
• Collaborate with shop floor teams to interpret blueprints and translate them into repair steps or modifications

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Physics, Mathematics, Data Science, or Computer Science
• Experience using computer-aided design (CAD) tools to design mechanical components
• Ability to work onsite in Fort Walton Beach, FL, 5 days a week
• U.S. Citizenship required to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience assembling, repairing, and testing mechanical and electrical components
• Experience with finite element models or simulations (e.g., ANSYS, PATRAN, NASTRAN, ABAQUS)
• Proficiency with JIRA, Matlab/Simulink, or scripting languages (C++, Fortran)
• Experience with military aircraft systems, specifically C-130 or refueling tanker platforms
• Experience supporting Foreign Military Sales (FMS) contracts
