Mechanical Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate all mechanical activities on assigned water/wastewater projects
• Supervise and mentor mechanical crews to ensure effective communication and collaboration
• Ensure all mechanical work meets project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture, adhering to all company policies and procedures
• Monitor and control project costs, including resource efficiency and monthly job cost updates
• Identify and resolve mechanical issues or challenges throughout the project lifecycle
• Maintain positive client relationships through regular project updates and concern resolution
• Prepare accurate project documentation, including daily reports, schedules, and change orders
• Assist in schedule planning, determining craft labor levels, material quantities, and equipment requirements
• Manage contract administration for subcontractors and field management

Requirements

• 5+ years of construction experience
• 3+ years of experience in a Superintendent or leadership capacity
• Advanced knowledge of construction disciplines, union agreements, and jurisdictional issues
• Expertise in safety regulations, scheduling, and cost control
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to access all areas of a construction project site

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
