Mechanical Superintendent (HVAC)

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day site management of fast-paced construction projects
• Manage construction site logistics, work schedules, and resource allocation
• Implement and enforce SpaceX safety policies and drive safety culture
• Coordinate daily field activities and resolve conflicts for contractors and internal partners
• Manage site logistics including deliveries, inventory, and staging of materials
• Maintain jobsite cleanliness and compliance with SWPP and local/state/federal regulations
• Create and iterate on schedules for workers and subcontractors
• Oversee procurement and execution of specific construction projects, including budgeting and contractor selection
• Coordinate project implementation and track status with end users and facilities teams

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 3+ years of professional experience in the construction industry
• Experience managing employees and contract labor on a construction site
• Ability to work at elevated heights (200+ feet)
• Ability to lift and carry materials up to 25 lbs
• Valid California driver’s license
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Field experience in a technical field or managing multi-discipline teams
• Experience with project management and scheduling software
• Basic proficiency with AutoCAD
• Knowledge of jurisdictional permitting and environmental agency processes
• Understanding of civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, piping, geotechnical, and surveying disciplines
• Experience with estimating, cost control, and contractor management
• Experience reading and approving shop and fabrication drawings
