Mechanical Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor junior superintendents and site crews
• Manage contract administration, including subcontractor and site manager meetings
• Organize and participate in regular client meetings to resolve issues and ensure planning alignment
• Oversee and approve monthly project cost updates and quarterly cash flow projections
• Review, approve, and negotiate change orders
• Develop and implement project completion and handover plans
• Maintain daily logs for archiving purposes
• Ensure all direct subordinate performance evaluations are completed in a timely manner
• Maintain positive working relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and suppliers

Requirements

• 8+ years of construction experience, including at least 3 years as a mechanical superintendent or in a management role
• Experience with infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, dams, or wastewater treatment plants is preferred
• Strong leadership, safety management, and negotiation skills
• Proven expertise in contract administration and project planning
• Excellent organizational, administrative, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as required by project needs
