Mechanical Specialist

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform major equipment installation, maintenance, overhauls, and inspections on industrial mechanical and rotating systems.
• Manage repairs for centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, turbines, and synchronous/induction motors.
• Maintain high-speed gearboxes and oversee heat exchangers, cryogenic interchangers, chillers, and cooling towers.
• Work on piping systems and related process equipment.
• Provide technical support and guidance to regional sites.
• Assist in turnaround planning and mechanical work cost estimation.
• Identify and resolve chronic mechanical asset issues and support root cause analysis programs.
• Perform field work in various weather conditions, including working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, and man-lifts.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the maintenance of mechanical and rotating systems in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience with compressors (centrifugal, reciprocating, screw), turbines, blowers, and heat exchangers.
• Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
• Ability to use precision measuring devices and perform precision alignment on multi-train equipment.
• Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Proficiency in MS Office and standard computer software.
• Ability to travel domestically (approximately 30%) and maintain accessibility during off-hours as required.
