About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies for equipment reliability improvement in collaboration with Operations and Maintenance.
  • Manage the plant’s Mechanical Integrity Reliability Program, including maintenance standards for lubrication, vibration, and precision maintenance.
  • Utilize KPI reports and SAP historical logs to identify performance gaps and implement asset management strategies.
  • Apply Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) to improve plant performance.
  • Execute small capital projects and provide technical support to ensure optimal life cycle performance.
  • Assist in developing training programs for craftsmen regarding machinery lubrication, alignment, and vibration analysis.
  • Interface with equipment suppliers to enhance overall equipment reliability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven team leadership skills.
  • Experience in small project management (typically < $100k).
  • Experience in project concept development and economic justification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with chemical processing industry equipment.
  • Experience with SAP PM.
  • Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification/experience.
  • Hands-on field machinery expertise.
