About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead defect elimination and root cause analysis (RCA) activities to improve plant reliability
- Develop, review, and optimize maintenance strategies for critical plant assets
- Analyze equipment performance and reliability data to identify improvement opportunities
- Lead equipment improvement, refurbishment, and reliability projects from concept to implementation
- Provide technical guidance and support for complex equipment failures and operational issues
- Coach and mentor maintenance personnel to promote a reliability culture
- Drive lifecycle asset management decisions and support long-term capital planning
- Support shutdowns, down days, and major maintenance activities
Requirements
- Mechanical Trade qualification with a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or an Engineering qualification with relevant reliability experience
- Significant experience in heavy industry large-scale manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of reliability-centred maintenance (RCM), defect elimination, and RCA
- Experience developing maintenance strategies and improving equipment reliability
- Sound knowledge of rotating equipment, hydraulics, lubrication systems, and condition monitoring
- Strong stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
