Mechanical Refrigeration Engineer

Responsibilities

• Engineer customized and standardized refrigeration systems ensuring compliance with CE-PED requirements and customer specifications
• Lead mechanical engineering efforts on projects and guide junior engineers
• Collaborate with CAD, automation, and electrical engineers to deliver high-quality designs meeting international regulations
• Conduct risk analysis and prepare detailed documentation for HAZOP and QHSE
• Develop Functional Design Specifications (FDS) in partnership with automation engineers
• Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) alongside commissioning engineers
• Provide technical support to internal stakeholders, sales, service teams, and clients
• Contribute to global standardization and innovation efforts in refrigeration technology

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Process Engineering or equivalent experience in refrigeration technology
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial refrigeration
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration plant safety, heat pumps, and regulatory directives
• Proficiency in CAD systems, specifically Autodesk Plant P&ID, and MS Office
• Professional proficiency in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Dutch language skills
• Knowledge of industrial automation and electrical schematics
• Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Axapta
• VCA certification
• Experience with marine refrigeration
