Mechanical Reference Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise during pre-sales phases to understand client needs and develop technical responses
• Act as a technical referent for expertise missions, including client sites and result-oriented projects
• Supervise the ALTEN Design team
• Acquire and disseminate technical methods
• Validate project deliverables
• Contribute to skill capitalization and knowledge development within the professional community through notes, training, and tools

Requirements

• Engineering degree or Master's degree (Bac+5) in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanics and/or the naval sector
• Proficiency in 3D design and modeling of naval structures
• Mastery of CAD and PLM solutions, preferably CATIA V6 and 3Dx
• Professional proficiency in English (written and oral)

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with naval structural terms (Varangue, Pont de résistance, Bordé de muraille, etc.)
• Interest in automation and process optimization
• Strong aptitude for coaching and mentoring
