About the role

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections of mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished goods
  • Execute process audits for metal forming, fabrication, and mechanical assembly
  • Document quality standards, specifications, and material non-conformances
  • Collaborate with safety, engineering, and manufacturing teams on design-for-manufacturing improvements
  • Verify compliance with regulatory codes, customer specifications, and engineering standards
  • Assist with tool calibration program execution for mechanical inspection equipment

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in metal fabrication manufacturing or quality inspection
  • Knowledge of materials used in metal component and structure fabrication
  • Basic computer skills with Word and Excel
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, walk, stoop, and bend for 8+ hours daily
  • Detail-driven with strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Participation in drug and alcohol program and ability to pass background check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in modular building construction, standalone metal structures, and electrical enclosures
  • Scheduling software knowledge
