About the role
Responsibilities
- Execute and confirm quality inspections for A220 aircraft structural assemblies and components during the production process.
- Perform visual, incoming, first article, and final inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and certification requirements.
- Document technical inspections and non-conformances using SAP-based IT systems (FLEXNET/NCMS).
- Conduct operational surveillance of people, products, and processes to ensure safety and quality standards.
- Contribute to root cause analysis and investigations regarding reported quality technical issues.
- Provide feedback and coaching to operations and support functions regarding quality observations.
- Support troubleshooting and Functional Test Procedures (FTPs).
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 5 years of experience in an aviation company with an emphasis on mechanical and/or structural components and assemblies.
- Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Proficiency in drawing systems, inspection plans, and inspection coordination.
- Experience handling and using inspection tools for mechanical and electrical length measuring techniques.
- Ability to work on the 2nd shift in Mobile, AL.
Preferred Qualifications
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License, including inspection authorization.
- Previous experience specifically in a Quality Inspector role.
