Mechanical QC Inspector

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of quality control procedures for mechanical works under the guidance of the Mechanical QC Engineer
• Review project technical specifications, drawings, and BOQ to identify engineering and inspection requirements
• Conduct site receiving inspections of mechanical materials and equipment to ensure compliance with project documentation
• Perform fit-up inspections and final dimensional verification prior to installation and welding
• Prepare, maintain, and retrieve inspection reports, test records, and quality documentation
• Witness and review work performed by third-party testing, inspection, and NDT companies
• Attend and support client inspections and testing activities
• Identify defective materials or incomplete work and manage punch list items through to closure
• Assist construction personnel in identifying quality issues and non-conformances
• Ensure all measuring and testing instruments are properly calibrated and functional

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry
• Hands-on inspection experience in piping, static equipment, and rotating equipment
• Experience with valves and associated mechanical systems
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills
• High attention to detail and strong interpersonal communication skills
