About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide mechanical design support for Chevron's Shale and Tight onshore assets.
  • Support the design, troubleshooting, analysis, and installation of process piping, pipelines, vessels, and rotating equipment.
  • Develop mechanical discipline deliverables including P&IDs, process flow diagrams, area plot plans, dig plans, and isometric drawings.
  • Manage the management of change (MOC) process for mechanical design packages and associated changes.
  • Deliver mechanical engineering construction work packages in collaboration with Operations, Maintenance, and Technical functions.
  • Participate in and contribute to safety reviews such as HazOps and HazAn.
  • Provide technical recommendations, equipment troubleshooting, and support the improvement of mechanical engineering work processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical, or civil engineering (B.E.) from a recognized university.
  • 5-10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemicals industry.
  • Minimum of 3 years of on-site based facility experience.
  • Proven experience executing greenfield and/or brownfield projects in onshore, upstream, oil and gas facilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience across the full project lifecycle: Pre-FEED, FEED, Detailed Engineering, Construction, Commissioning, Startup, and Operations.
  • Strong knowledge of system interfaces, systems engineering, and project execution tools.
  • Ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams of engineers and CAD designers.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of managing scope, costs, schedules, and risks within engineering design packages.
