About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide mechanical design support for Chevron's Shale and Tight onshore assets.
  • Support the design, troubleshooting, analysis, and installation of process piping, pipelines, vessels, and rotating equipment.
  • Develop mechanical discipline deliverables including P&IDs, process flow diagrams, area plot plans, and isometric drawings.
  • Manage the management of change (MOC) process for mechanical design packages.
  • Deliver mechanical engineering construction work packages in collaboration with Operations and Maintenance teams.
  • Participate in safety reviews such as HazOps and HazAn.
  • Provide technical recommendations, equipment troubleshooting, and support the improvement of engineering tools and processes.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of minimum on-site-based facility experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical, or civil engineering (B.E.) from a recognized (AICTE) university.
  • Knowledge of process piping, pipelines, vessels, and rotating equipment.
  • Experience working with P&IDs and process flow diagrams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5-15 years of experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemicals industry.
  • Experience executing greenfield and/or brownfield projects in onshore, upstream, oil and gas facilities.
