Mechanical Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Participate in technical meetings with clients and internal teams to define project specifications
• Develop mechanical designs for plants and machinery using 3D modeling and 2D construction drawings
• Manage and update technical project documentation
• Interface with suppliers and evaluate technical offers
• Collaborate with mechanical assemblers and oversee installation and startup activities at client sites
• Read and interpret technical drawings and P&IDs
• Participate in testing, commissioning, and final testing activities
• Support pre-sales and post-sales activities from a technical perspective
• Ensure correct technical execution of projects in compliance with requirements and timelines

Requirements

• Experience in mechanical design of industrial plants or machinery
• Practical experience in 3D CAD modeling and creating construction drawings
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D, Inventor 3D, and Vault
• Ability to manage technical project workflows
• Strong communication skills to interface with international clients and suppliers
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Willingness to travel occasionally for national and international assignments (approx. 10 days per year)

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Previous experience designing plants specifically for the food industry
• Expertise in reading and designing complex mechanical schemes
