Mechanical or Electrical Works Technical Assistant

Responsibilities

• Participate in the supervision of repair work for GTA groups (#1 and #4) and auxiliary services
• Supervise plant work, electrical apparatus, controls, mechanical, and turbine-generator groups
• Provide technical expertise to support Works Chiefs and Site Managers from tender preparation to site closure
• Act as the technical reference on-site and monitor construction execution in compliance with plans and specifications
• Evaluate and comment on the contractor's quality plan and work methods
• Maintain a photographic record of site progress and verify technical data sheets
• Issue and follow up on QMT / DDT-NC documents
• Support site personnel in compiling quality records and red-lined drawings

Requirements

• DEC in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience
• Knowledge of turbine-generator groups and auxiliary systems (cooling, hydraulic, pneumatic, etc.)
• Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of MCT and AutoCAD is an asset
• Fluency in written and spoken French
• Valid driver's license and vehicle (Class 5)
• Valid ASP Construction card
• CDST-Centrale, working at heights, and confined space training is an asset
