Mechanical Maintenance Technician I

Responsibilities

• Perform HVAC and Building Automation System (BAS) maintenance, including filter and belt replacements
• Conduct basic troubleshooting and repairs for mechanical, electrical, and automotive fleet systems
• Maintain an appropriate inventory of supplies and materials
• Complete daily work assignments and maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working order
• Participate in an on-call rotation and assist with winter storm activities such as snow removal and plowing
• Comply with all occupational safety and health standards and report hazards immediately

Requirements

• High school education and relevant technical training or field experience
• Basic technical knowledge of HVAC system operation and BAS maintenance
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Physical ability to perform tasks involving crouching, kneeling, stooping, reaching, climbing ladders, and crawling
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends during winter storms, and participate in an on-call rotation
