Mechanical Maintenance Technician I Apprentice

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair facility mechanical systems, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Perform welding and fabrication tasks, such as building custom fixtures and maintenance parts
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections, including lubrication, cleaning, and filter changes
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment, blowers, fans, and heat exchange equipment
• Maintain commercial doors and perform basic pipefitting and electrical repairs
• Follow strict safety guidelines, including lockout/tagout procedures and the use of required PPE
• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to schedule and track maintenance tasks

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 0-1 years of experience in industrial mechanical maintenance or equivalent education
• Ability to work in aerial or scissor lifts at heights of 30 feet or higher
• Strong mechanical and welding skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Ability to work 2nd shift (2:00pm - 10:30pm) and weekends as required by a 24/7 operation

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in industrial mechanical, HVAC, or Electrical disciplines
• Welding certification (MIG, TIG, or arc welding)
• Experience with pump repair, pipefitting, or millwright work
• Experience working within a CMMS environment
