Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the mechanical maintenance of all production plants, from crushers to rotary kilns and shipping.
• Ensure plant availability through the planning and implementation of maintenance, repair, and improvement measures.
• Plan, control, and monitor shutdowns, revisions, and emergency repairs.
• Collaborate with the preventive maintenance team to implement condition-based maintenance concepts.
• Coordinate closely with production, process, H&S, and external partners.
• Contribute to investment projects, including conversions and modernizations, from a mechanical perspective.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, legal requirements, and technical documentation.
• Continuously optimize processes, spare parts management, and maintenance development.

Requirements

• Completed technical education (HTL, FH, TU) in mechanical engineering, plant technology, or a comparable field.
• Experience in mechanical maintenance, ideally within the process or cement industry.
• Proven experience in project management.
• Proficiency in maintenance software, such as SAP PM or similar systems.
• A structured, solution-oriented, and hands-on working style.
• High level of safety awareness and responsibility.
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
