Mechanical Lead Engineer - Offshore

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering design and execution for offshore facilities, including platforms, subsea systems, and offshore installations.
• Provide technical leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality, compliant engineering solutions.
• Oversee the development of equipment sizing, selection, specifications, datasheets, and technical bid evaluations.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support integrated project delivery and manage vendor document reviews.
• Support procurement, construction, and commissioning phases of offshore projects.
• Define staffing needs, provide input on scheduling, and monitor effort-hour budgets to ensure project objectives are met.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and designers.
• Collaborate with Global Integrated Delivery (GID) offices worldwide to maximize workshare efficiency.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent degree.
• Proven experience in mechanical engineering within the oil & gas or energy sector.
• Demonstrated expertise as a Lead Engineer for offshore projects.
• Experience with both greenfield and brownfield project environments.
• Strong knowledge of offshore equipment, systems, and international engineering standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Background in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) project environments.
• Experience in global project delivery and multi-disciplinary workshare models.
• Knowledge of API, ANSI, NEMA, and ASTM specifications.
