Mechanical Integration & Test Engineer

About the Company

fab2 was founded by Sam Zeloof and Jim Keller. The team designs all the hardware and software needed to make chips, building the fabs, tools, and components themselves.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end characterization of tools and define measurement criteria
• Run software tests and push hardware limits to inform engineering decisions
• Build software testing programs from scratch
• Diagnose complex system errors by collaborating with electrical, mechanical, and software teams
• Lead with rigorous and concise written and verbal communication
• Set clear timelines and hold teams accountable for documentation and testing standards

Requirements

• 2 years of experience as a test engineer or applications engineer
• Ability to write code and create automated testing programs from scratch
• Hands-on capability to build and run electrical tests
• Strong mechanical intuition and a scientific mindset
• Clear and fast verbal and written communication skills
• A portfolio of built projects is generally required

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with mechanical design
• PCB design experience
