About the role
About the Company
fab2 was founded by Sam Zeloof and Jim Keller. We design all the hardware and software needed to make chips and we make the fabs, tools, and components ourselves.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end characterization of tools, defining criteria to measure, running software tests, and logging failure
- Build software testing programs from scratch
- Diagnose complex system errors by collaborating with electrical, mechanical, and software teams
- Lead with rigorous and concise written and verbal communication
- Set clear timelines and hold teams accountable for documentation and testing standards
Requirements
- 2 years of experience as a test engineer or applications engineer
- Ability to write code and create automated testing programs from scratch
- Hands-on capability to build and run electrical tests
- Strong mechanical intuition and a scientific mindset
- Clear, fast verbal and written communication skills
- A portfolio of built projects is generally required
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with mechanical design
- PCB design experience
