Mechanical Integration Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, maintenance, and automation of weight & balance tools
• Own mass properties tracking, prediction, and reporting throughout design, build, and test
• Manage mechanical design guidelines to ensure common design practices across teams
• Manage standard materials, hardware, and design element selections
• Support structural layout and configuration development
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and test teams to resolve system-level tradeoffs
• Support systems integration and packaging efforts, including clash resolution and mounting concepts
• Participate in design reviews, manufacturing support, and testing activities

Requirements

• 2–7 years of experience in aerospace mechanical engineering or aircraft design
• Strong understanding of mass properties and aircraft mechanical design
• Experience building or owning engineering tools for analysis
• Proficiency in CAD and PLM software (e.g., NX, CATIA, Teamcenter)
• Programming experience in Python or MATLAB for tool automation
• Experience with systems integration, packaging, or aircraft layout
• Ability to lead technical efforts independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to certification, conformance, or government aerospace programs
• Hands-on mindset with a bias toward execution
