Mechanical Inspector

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of mechanical installations including HVAC, piping, and equipment to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications
• Monitor contractor work to verify adherence to quality, safety, and project requirements
• Identify, document, and report non-conformities and recommend corrective actions
• Coordinate with engineering and project teams to resolve issues and ensure smooth workflow
• Maintain accurate inspection records, prepare reports, and update quality documentation
• Participate in testing, commissioning, and final acceptance of mechanical systems
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on site

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical inspection within construction or engineering projects
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, codes, standards, and inspection procedures
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and reporting abilities
• Familiarity with quality management systems and safety regulations
