About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site mechanical inspections of equipment, systems, and components to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with specifications
  • Conduct detailed inspections of mechanical installations, including piping, HVAC systems, and industrial machinery
  • Identify and document defects, non-conformities, and potential issues during inspections
  • Prepare comprehensive inspection reports and maintain accurate records of findings
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to address and resolve mechanical issues
  • Verify that corrective actions are implemented effectively and in a timely manner
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in mechanical inspection
  • Participate in project meetings and provide technical expertise as needed
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures during all on-site activities

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar mechanical inspection role
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Solid knowledge of building construction, materials, systems, and industry trade practices
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in computer applications relevant to the role
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing environments
  • Excellent multitasking, prioritization, and project planning skills
  • Experience coordinating with contractors and other stakeholders on-site
