Mechanical Inspector

Responsibilities

• Verify that all in-house and vendor-supplied Mechanical Services work meets organizational quality control standards
• Perform quality control inspections on roll parts, new parts, and machined parts
• Provide system documentation for Quality Control procedures using SPIs, ISO documentation, and Quality Control Review Audits
• Review internal and outgoing paperwork daily for accuracy and completeness
• Communicate Quality Control procedures to all relevant personnel within the department
• Report all quality control information, updates, status, and issues to the Mechanical Services Manager
• Sign off on final approvals for roll shipments
• Assist in production tasks as directed by the supervisor

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of manufacturing-related mechanical or millwright experience (or 2 years of technical training preferred)
• Working knowledge of formal quality systems, such as ISO
• Solid mechanical aptitude
• Ability to stand for extensive periods and perform repetitive movements
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more occasionally
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
