Mechanical Inspector

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine mechanical inspections and field walk-downs to verify compliance with design specifications and engineering standards
• Perform estimating take-offs and quantity tracking for mechanical components and systems
• Document and report installed quantities, inspection findings, and deviations from design requirements
• Analyze technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand project requirements
• Utilize measurement and testing equipment to assess mechanical systems and equipment performance
• Identify and report deficiencies, non-conformances, or safety concerns in a timely manner
• Collaborate with engineering teams, contractors, and project managers to resolve identified issues
• Maintain organized and detailed inspection records and reports for quality assurance purposes
• Verify adherence to applicable mechanical codes, standards, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanical inspection or related field preferred
• 8 years of professional experience
• Proven experience in mechanical inspections, quality assurance, or field inspection duties
• Solid knowledge of basic engineering principles and mechanical systems
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Experience working in the UAE or Middle Eastern markets
