Mechanical Helper

Responsibilities

• Assist mechanical technicians with installation, maintenance, and repair work, including fitting, welding, and piping.
• Clean and prepare work areas by removing debris and hazardous materials.
• Handle and organize mechanical tools, materials, and equipment on-site.
• Perform basic tasks such as measuring, cutting, and bending conduit and trays.
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with all safety standards.
• Assist in troubleshooting mechanical systems and tray installations.
• Load and unload materials and tools at construction sites.
• Help secure cable tray covers and maintain organized cable management systems.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within oil and gas construction.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems, tools, and materials.
• Familiarity with cable tray installation.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and climbing ladders.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to follow strict instructions.
• Ability to work in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or relevant technical training.
• Experience working on offshore or onshore oil and gas projects.
