Mechanical Helper

Responsibilities

• Assist mechanical technicians in installation, maintenance, and repair work
• Support fitting, welding, piping, and equipment alignment activities
• Clean and prepare work areas by removing debris and hazardous materials
• Handle and organize mechanical tools, materials, and equipment on-site
• Perform basic tasks such as measuring, cutting, and bending conduit and trays
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with safety standards
• Assist in troubleshooting mechanical systems and tray installations
• Load and unload materials and tools at construction sites
• Help with securing cable tray covers and maintaining organized cable management systems
• Follow instructions from supervisors to complete tasks on time

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in oil and gas construction
• Basic understanding of electrical systems, tools, and materials
• Familiarity with cable tray installation
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials and climbing ladders
• Ability to work in confined spaces
• Knowledge of safety protocols
• High school diploma or relevant technical training preferred
