Mechanical Foreman

Responsibilities

• Supervise and execute preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance for mechanical equipment in gas plants and pipelines
• Lead and manage mechanical technicians and fitters to ensure safe and efficient work
• Ensure strict compliance with HSE policies, permit-to-work systems, and safety procedures
• Coordinate with operations to plan maintenance activities, shutdowns, and equipment isolation
• Assign daily tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of maintenance jobs
• Perform troubleshooting and support root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures
• Verify job quality, conduct inspections, and ensure equipment readiness before handover
• Manage tools, spare parts, and materials to support inventory control
• Prepare and close maintenance work orders, reports, and equipment history records
• Support plant start-up, shutdown, and emergency maintenance activities
• Provide on-the-job training and mentoring to technicians

Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification
• 5–8 years of hands-on experience in maintenance of gas plants and pipeline systems
• Expertise in static equipment (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping, valves)
• Expertise in rotary equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines, blowers)
• Strong leadership and team supervision skills
• Proficiency in equipment troubleshooting and problem-solving

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using SAP PM for maintenance work orders and history tracking
