Mechanical Fitter

Responsibilities

• Assemble and fit mechanical parts and systems according to technical drawings and instructions
• Perform basic welding tasks, including tack welding and minor repairs
• Inspect and maintain mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
• Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively
• Collaborate with engineering and fabrication teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues
• Maintain accurate records of welding and fitting activities
• Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations and company policies

Requirements

• Trade certification or relevant experience in mechanical fitting
• Basic welding skills and experience
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication instructions
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
• Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
